CARLOS SARRIA - HEAD COACH
Carlos’ philosophy is simple; provide a strong foundation of fundamentals of the game and practical application to exceed their goals as individuals and as a group mastering and developing the technical, tactical, physical and psychological faces of the game by adding what he believe are the ingredients for success "Hard work, Persistence, Determination, Repetition and Fun!!!"
Carlos began his career as an athlete at the age of 4 in Havana, Cuba. He played soccer all through his childhood until the age of 18. He represented his city on National Meets and the Higher Institute of Physical Education of Havana at the College level. By the age of 18 he became the captain of the Roller Skating Cuban National Team representing his country on many international meets until 1992.
Carlos’ Coaching career began at Conway Middle School as the Soccer Coach for Conway Middle School. During his Coaching career at Conway Middle School, Carlos coached the Boys team to the 2002-2003 Division Champions. Carlos has worked as an Instructor/Coach for two years at the Florida Soccer Training Academy. The Florida Soccer Training Academy was a program run by Bob Winch, Former Head Coach for the University of Central Florida. Carlos also trains local players of all ages in all positions. He currently serves as the Head Coach for the U-15 Girls Premier team for the Central Florida United Soccer Club as well as the U9 Krush Girls, also coach many other premier teams with East Orange Soccer Club.
Carlos holds a Degree of Bachelors of Science in Physical Education from the Higher Institute of Physical Education, Havana, Cuba and teaches for Orange County Public Schools. Carlos was a member of the Roller Skating Cuban National Team from 1987 to 1992 and participated in the Central American Games in Santo Domingo, Dominical Republic in 1988, Pan-American Games in Havana, Cuba in 1991 and the Roller Skating World Championship in Colorado Springs, Co in 1991. Carlos was awarded Silver Medal’s in both the Central American Games and the Pan-American Games. Carlos lives in Orlando with his wife Cindy and their two sons, Adrian (10 years) and Brandon (7 years).
