U-11 KRUSH ACADEMY (BLUE) COACHING STAFF
MIKE SERINO - HEAD COACH:
Mike has coached youth soccer for the past 9 years. He enjoys coaching at the youth level and strongly emphasizes the basic skills of the game while maintaining a fun environment. Mike’s coaching goal is to provide a great experience for every player such that they love the game of soccer and desire to continue playing. Mike looks forward to learning from the Krush Academy staff, contributing to the Krush Academy, and assisting with the development of the Krush Academy players.
Mike played soccer in the Central Florida area since the age of 8 and was fortunate to have many great experiences while playing. At the youth level, he was on teams that placed second, second, and third in the state tournament what was then called the Florida Cup. One of the teams that placed second was coached by Mr. Frank Avallone, Krush Academy Director Joe Avallone’s father. At age 14, Mike traveled to Helsingborg, Sweden where his team played matches against Swedish youth teams. As a high school player at Lake Howell, Mike was named to the County, Conference, and State teams. He also played one year at Methodist College in North Carolina. Mike completed college at the University of Central Florida and received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
Mike works for L-3 Communications at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and still plays soccer in leagues periodically. Mike has lived in the Oviedo area for the past 14 years with his wife Sheila and their two daughters Lyndsey (12) and Alexa (10)….and their boxer dog, Blazin’ Blizzard Whitepaws.
